FLOWERS ALSO CRY er en kraftfuld moderne danseforestilling, som hylder de ufortalte historier om modige kvinder i krig. Forestillingen udforsker forskellige krigsoplevelser fra tab, traumer og fordrivelse til modstand og viljen til at fortsætte, fra vantro og fremmedgørelse til vigtigheden af medfølelse og støtte. FLOWERS ALSO CRY minder os om den urokkelige menneskelige ånd, selv i de mørkeste tider.
FLOWERS ALSO CRY blev tildelt Den Europæiske Karlspris for Unge i Danmark i 2024, har turneret internationalt og blev præsenteret som et af hovedværkerne på festivalen Tampere Dance Current i Finland.
FLOWERS ALSO CRY is a powerful contemporary dance performance honouring the untold stories of courageous women during the times of war. The performance explores different wartime experiences, from loss, trauma and displacement to resilience and resolve to persist, from disbelief and alienation to the importance of compassion and support. FLOWERS ALSO CRY reminds us of the unyielding human spirit, even in the darkest times.
FLOWERS ALSO CRY was warded the Youth Karlspreis in Denmark 2024, the piece has toured internationally, and was presented as one of the main features at a contemporary dance festival in Tampere, Finland.
