OBS! Stepping in/Spilling out vises d.25. april kl.11-11.50 i Dansepavillonen på Karens Minde Kulturhus som en del af Grønne Dage. Det er gratis at deltage, og der bliver talt engelsk i forestillingen, men den kan også opleves uden at man forstår alt, der bliver sagt. Forestillingen er for alle, børn skal dog have deres voksne med.
Stepping in/Spilling out: at træde hen over dine forældres tæppe, træde ind i cypheren, gå i solidaritet, gå sammen med fremmede i klubben…
I samarbejde med den franske percussionist Rémy Gouffault tager dette værk publikum på en tur gennem Mark Bleakleys personlige historie og hans dansepraksis gennem den grundlæggende handling at træde; de forskellige mennesker, samfund, historier og politik, der kolliderer med Marks krop gennem bevægelse.
Med udgangspunkt i en overdimensioneret tegning af tæppet i hans barndomshjem og ved hjælp af bevægelse, samtaler, deltagelse og musik guider Mark og Rémy dig gennem lag af landskaber; fester, protester, ritualer, mosh pits og gasskyer.
NB! Stepping in/Spilling out will be presented on April 25th from 11:00–11:50 AM in the Dance Pavilion at Karens Minde Kulturhus as part of Grønne Dage. Admission is free. The performance is in English, but it can also be experienced without understanding everything that is being said. The performance is open to all; however, children must be accompanied by an adult.
Stepping in… Spilling out: across your parent’s carpet, stepping into the cypher, stepping in solidarity, stepping with strangers in the club. Collaboration with French percussionist Rémy Gouffault, this work takes a walk along the personal history of Mark’s dance practice through the foundational act of stepping; the different people, communities, histories and politics that collide with Mark’s body through movement. Beginning on an oversized drawing of his family home carpet, using movement, conversations, participation and music, Mark and Rémy guide you through layers of landscapes stepping through; parties, protests, rituals, mosh pits and gas clouds.
